Exactly What You Need for Non-Wireless Fire Devices and Wireless Alarm Panels
Using these with our Vivint (2Gig GO) panel to monitor 194 degree fixed/rate of rise heat detectors in our house attic and garage attic. Includes end of line resistor in package, so wire between transmitter and detector is supervised. Alerts panel for transmitter removed from mounting bracket and removal of transmitter cover too.
We had an attic fire that put us out of the house for 6 months. We were lucky I was awakened by noise in the attic above our bedroom at 5:30 AM. No smoke had left the attic yet because we caught it early and fire was still contained to the attic. By the time it would have triggered a response from a smoke detector or smoke alarm on the second floor, the fire would have burned through our bedroom ceiling right above our bed.
Everyone needs fire protection in their attic!
