Description should say 1/2". Perfect though.
I bought these for a solar garden pump system to prevent backflow when the clouds cover the sun. A perfect fit for half inch hose pipe.

Electronically should be OK
1 of 1 found this helpful I dismantled and reassembled the product to check that it would not hurt my set of UV5Rs.
In the inside place where you would normally find the battery, there is a small amount of electronics for voltage regulation instead.
It contains a 7808 voltage regulator and a couple of electrolytic capacitors. There is a small heatsink attached to the 7808. It is almost home brew, but I will trust it.
My UV5R has a battery voltage of 8.3v . This puts out 7.95v (from a lead acid cell putting out 12.9v input), so it should be safe.
Polarity is correct.
There is a 5 A protection fuse in the cigar charger plug.

Programming cable
This cable worked first time with Windows 10 64 bit and the existing CH340 COM port driver I already had installed.
I downloaded the open source "Chirp" software, which greatly eases channel preset programming.
