Cobra PowerFlo upgrade produced significant gains
The Cobra PowerFlo Air Intake System has optimized my V-Twin performance. The venturi and ram air design is effective. It is the final piece in a Stage 1 tuning. After a custom ECU flashing it is the greatest contributor to a 19% increase in HP and a 15% increase in Torque. This intake was added to match the Cobra Speedster exhaust system. This intake has changed the exhaust note of the engine to a deeper, more defined tone and pulse. It's amazing how getting enough air/fuel mixture to your engine helps performance. Just having a high flow air filter in the stock air box did nothing.
After timing and throttle control are optimized, the intake improvement is the greatest factor in Torque and Horsepower gains. Previous to the tuning and intake mod, the high performance exhaust system did very little to improve anything. All this being said, I paid too much for it but I don't regret doing it.
