Review of novel The Swan House by Elizabeth Musser
This coming-of-age novel set in Buckhead, an elite section of Atlanta, during the 1960s is an excellent depiction of civil rights issues, class discrimination, and the universal problems most adolescents encounter. Even more interesting, the novel centers around the loss of many of Atlanta's well-heeled society who died in a plane crash in Paris while returning home from a European art history tour (historically accurate).
