The BMW of razors makes a travel razor worth having.
I have used Merkur for years and you can count on their engineering, quality of materials, and self-evident ease of use.

This amp stand does double duty well
Solidly made, easy to set up, and use. This stand holds both my twin 12" and smaller 8" tube amps securely. In operation, the construction feels stable and sturdy. You are also able to fold up the arms while maintaining the desired height. My stand came with additional plastic/rubber rests for the arms which help keep the amps unscuffed by these arms during use. Additionally, they are notched so you can seat your amp's edge in the notch to help tilt your amp back further if needed. However, these same rests slip off the arms easily which can be a good way to lose them when moving the stand if you're not careful- this is my only complaint. The only wish I have is that Quick Lok would make a carrying case for gigging that would make this stand easy to tote and help keep it in good condition.

Merkur 34C HD Short and Simple Review
3 of 3 found this helpful I have used a Merkur razor for 20 years. There are not many products anymore so thoughtfully engineered and built with this level of quality. I recently replaced my travel razor with a Merkur model similar to the 34C and liked it a great deal. As the price point on the 34C was agreeable, I thought I would purchase one to try and possibly replace my home Merkur razor for a less aggressive shave. It has been a revelation and my facial skin has reacted well. Although this razor is not adjustable you can control the level of aggressiveness in your shave by the blade you use. I use a Derby blade which suits me well for a coarse but not thick beard. I have used a Feather blade and if I had a thicker beard, this blade would be aggressive enough I believe.
If you want a high-quality razor that will deliver a smooth nonirritating shave daily, you will be pleased. The HD in the model number is for “heavy duty” and this meets the description. Yet the device is relatively light and the short handle prevents you from applying unnecessary pressure and the closed comb configuration prevents your shave from turning into a crime scene.
Any Merkur razor is a solid choice but what we men are less educated about is the type of tool: handle length, blade exposure, comb type etc. in the Merkur toolbox that will work best. If you choose Merkur, do your research to find the best fit for your beard and buy a quality blade to put in it and neither your face nor your wallet will be disappointed.
