Don't buy off-markey cartridges or printheads -- buy only genuine, new, hp products. They're way too expensive, but at least they usually work.

It didn't work … the printer could not complete "align printheads". I resolved the problem by throwing the printer away and buying a new printer, rather than pursue the cost ineffective solution of replacing a bad printhead.
