Bachmann HO Scale American 4-4-0 Locomotive & Tender (Central Pacific Jupiter)

Bachmann 4-4-0 "V2" Jupiter
This model is of the famous locomotive "Jupiter" Used in the transcontinental railroad ceremony. I call this issue of the Jupiter the "Version Two" because it has a slightly newer motor (a flat motor) versus the old venerable ones with a pancake motor. This model still features the "tender drive". This version has the classic blue paint that is on the replicas today. They were updated somewhere around the 1990's and have been updated a little somewhere along the line. The updated version can be identified by looking at the pilot wheels. The updated ones are solid red while the originals have metal showing through. They also come in a blue box while the originals come in a white box. The updated ones run slightly better and have better connection to the headlight. Both however, will run well If taken care of and maintained properly. Not as great as the newer ones, but can still be excellent engines. Top -end speed is a little excessive, and it does not have great low speed. I do recommend this engine if you aren't looking to splurge on the newer ones, but if you are looking for a reliable 4-4-0 without any problems whatsoever, then turn to the newer one. This model has: - Working headlight - Tender - Drive - "Flat" motor I hope you have fun with this little engine!

Model Power 0-4-0 "Booster Tank"
These little engines are made and updated from the original "Booster Tank" molds made by Mantua in the 50's and 60's. They are fantastic little tank engines for any layout. They come in a variety of road names, and some come with a "loco genie" controller. I currently own two and could never have too many. The only minor quibble I have about these engines is the fact that the cylinder assembly sits a bit wonky. This is on all the models. This does NOT affect the performance in any way, it just looks a bit funny. These engines are equipped with all of todays features: - Can motor - Directional lighting - Good Low speed I hope you will get the same enjoyment out of your booster tank as I do!
