Solid Acting, Solid Movie
Crimson Tide is a very well made war film that deals with issues and ideas that are guaranteed to stay on the minds of the audience well after its completion. Aside from being thought provoking and incredibly pertinent to the present day, the film features brilliant acting from Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman. The music is powerful, the directing is very consistent and the cinematography is great. Military protocol is broken several times and some elements of the film are 'unrealistic,' but a movie is a movie, and every part of protocol that is broken serves the themes and ideas of the film and the struggle between the two officers. The film is very suspenseful, emotional and interesting throughout. There are times when the film comes off as a little campy or over-the-top, but it doesn't detract from the overall film itself. This film can be found at a decent price and is well worth the many viewings you will probably get out of it. If you are a fan of war movies, Gene Hackman, and/or Denzel Washington, this is a must have.

One of the better SNES Madden Games
This is probably the height of SNES football games. Its nothing like Madden today where you have tons of options, but the gameplay and nostalgia are good enough to be worth what'll you'll probably spend on it. I think I got this for $4. Not bad. If nothing else, its fun to play with the rosters from this year

Kubrick's Favorite
If you are a Kubrick fan, you have to see this movie. Its well worth the watch, and to me, its worth adding to my movie collection. The film got mixed reviews, but Stanley Kubrick said it was his personal favorite. he masters his own style in what I consider to be a very thought provoking story. It sticks with you and is a great example of a director mastering his craft.
Watch it on netflix first if you are unsure, because some people might not like this movie at all.
