Fender Super Sonic 100 is true to it's name- SUPER!!!
What a great amp! Pristine cleans, dirty blues, Rock and Roll crunch, even pure, singing saturated distortion all live in this box. My first professional amp was a 60's blackface twin when it was almost new. Since then, I have had quite a selection of premium equipment, and this amp delivers what it promises. Namely, a simple to use, multi-dimensional sound system for guitarists. No need to carry two amps to a gig, or even OWN two amps. One key factor is the notch tune knob which gives you the ability to adjust the color of your sound. It helps simplify changing from a bright guitar like a Strat, to a darker guitar like a Les Paul, by turning one knob that is easy to access, as well as making one guitar all you may need even in a cover band. Fantastic versatility! There are a bunch of features to make life simple and easy for us, and that is a very good thing! I have seen reviews that praise this amp but complain about the pricing. I think the Super Sonic 100 is well worth the price, and I have not felt that way about a lot of amps over the last four decades. Fender has a genuine winner here.
