A must-have: One of the best seasons from a landmark in 70s Television
If you're reading this review you probably know what the series are about. The season 4 of The Six Million Dollar Man (1976-1977) has all the excitement that turned the series into a landmark of the 70's Popular culture. As a matter of fact, what you can see in this season is the return of the Bionic Bigfoot, crossover episodes with Lindsay Wagner (the bionic woman), the deadly Fembots, the relentless Soviet probe, a bionic boy, and on top of that you have guest appearances by beauties like Kim Basinger, Stefanie Powers, and Farrah Fawcett. If you like the series this season is definitely a MUST.
My takes on the hardware: The overall presentation is 10/10. For your money you get a full color, embossed, detailed, and high-quality slipcase that covers a plastic DVD holder that keeps all 8-disks in a spindle, like a cake. There is a cover, but there isn't any booklet inside. When you open the plastic case you can read the titles of the episodes on each disk. All eight disks are one-sided. They are correctly labeled in full color, numbered, and featuring the episodes contained.
Image/sound: The image quality is fantastic, and so is the sound. The remaster work done to the original films is great, making the series a pleasure to watch. I've compared this with the previous seasons that I bought in Germany, and the difference in sound & image quality is pretty big.
Extras: One very nice extra in this set is the audio commentary track on the episode "Vulture of the Andes" by director Cliff Bole. Also, in this DVD set you can also find included three hard-to-find crossover episodes of the Six Million Dollar Man on the Bionic Woman series. It's 22 episodes + 3 Bionic woman episodes featuring Col. Steve Austin!
As I said, if there is anything you liked in the series, this particular season is a must-have. Both the package, and episodes are 10/10.
THE ULTIMATE BOOK OF MONSTER TRUCKS - VINTAGE BOOK
22 October 2016
Monster Trucks and something else.
For sure the first thought that'll cross your mind when holding up the actual book is "wow, this is huge!".
Bill Holder --the author of this book- wrote many books about Monster Trucks back in the late 80's -early 90's. This might be one of the best ones. Published originally in 1991, what you can see while flipping through the many color images collected in this book is what experts usually call "the second generation of Monster Trucks". That means that since the book is from 1991, all of the trucks presented (with few exceptions) are the type of race-prep vehicles that doesn't go anymore with stock-traditional chassis frame, and leaf-suspensions. In proper Monster Truck language: this book offers a good insight on the dawn of the kind of trucks that picked up the mechanical revolution started with Tennessee's Gary Cook's "Equalizer" (the incredible home-made TNT World Champion in 1989), and the ultra sophisticated "Bigfoot VIII" that Bob Chandler designed and released in 1990.
The book have many of incredible pictures in full color, and there is a extremely brief foreword by the man that created the first and most important Monster Truck of all time, Bob Chandler (Bigfoot). Still, you can find in it a captivating and consistent history of this American motorsport, from the 70's until 1991.
Most people would think, "oh, another book on some ridiculous motorsport", but let me tell you, as a scholar and college professor myself, this book offers a very good insight on a sport that has had a huge impact in American culture. Both, the historian and anthropologist might find some interesting information in it to understand the huge changes American society (and the whole Western world) was going through the 80's decade, with the economic recovery when Ronald Reagan was in charge.
I highly recommend this book to anybody interested in motorsports nostalgia, Americana, and pop culture.

Excellent quality and looks.
Got a set of these and they look good and do the job. I see the quality of the rubber is good. I would recommend these to anybody working on heavy wooden furniture. I also used these on my bench grinder and they work excellent. 10/10
