A seriously good piece of equipment!
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a very good piece of equipment. I bought one to replace a virgin box as I watch mainly freeview and the chance of saving on the cost of cable tv was too tempting.
I am not that familiar with tv technology but this is 1080p apparently and also HD, what I can say is that it did give me a markedly improved picture!
The unit virtually sets itself up when you plug it in, it is straight forward to make recordings which are also of good quality.
The only downside is no catch up tv, although if you get yourself a wifi dongle thing you can get iplayer and some other stuff via the Humax portal. I tried this as well, cost me less than £10 and mine works fine.
You can also plug a hard drive in and play mp3 music through the stereo (done that too) and other more complicated things that I frankly will never get around to, but there is a Humax users site that will keep anyone so inclined busy for ages.
I bought mine from ebay,it was new and cost me around £170.
It looks pretty good too by the way.

Good dishwasher
The dishwasher is well designed internally (it holds more than the one it replaced of same size). I would have preferred the controls to be more discreetly positioned
