If you have dirty dishes or excessive water all over the top rack after a cleaning cycle... this part is for you!
After 10 years of running our dishwasher every day, we noticed that our spinner would end up in the top dishwasher rack after a wash cycle. Our dishes were excessively covered with water after a wash cycle as a result. A quick search online revealed the spinner was worn out and was our problem, so we ordered part number 8193983 on eBay.
If you order this part, you should get a new spinner and a bushing in a plastic bag. The bushing is the key to this product working correctly. Over time, said bushing wears out (the nipple that holds the spinner to the bushing disappears) and the spinner ends up disconnecting from it... leading to excessive water on the top rack or dirty dishes in general.
This part fixes all of that and returns the machine to it's normal operating function. One last word of advice.... DO NOT buy a generic version of this spinner or one without the bushing. It will work initially, but it won't last as long as this full replacement will. Spend a little bit more on a Genuine Replacement Part from Whirlpool and forget about issues for the next 10 years. :)
