Ahead of Its Time
The life of this series was cut tragically short. I watched it as it originally aired. I watched it as part of a marathon of TV shows that were gone too soon. I have searched again and again for it in streaming and BAM... someone suggested ebay. Every aspect of this show was ahead of its time in entertainment and sitcoms. At the center of things is Jay Mohr, who becomes astonishingly both lost and worldly-wise at the same time, which keeps his character fascinating. Illeana Douglas and Buddy Hackett are amazing in their supporting roles, playing off the circumstances as Mohr tries to make an unlikely movie. And Jarrad Paul playing an actor hits all the right (and unexpected) notes. It's all stylishly presented in a frantic, somewhat MTV way -- but the substance of the show never takes a back seat. It makes me laugh, it warms my heart, it still has the power to surprise me and still remains one of the most forward-thinking pieces of television history.

Flannel My Life!
So soft and so warm... and just when I needed it with the Artic Weather Mess. These are a pleasure to wear in this awful weather. Now, if I could also wear them in those moments when I first get our the shower and that slight chill hits... Seriously, I'm looking for more of these.

Judy, Judy, Judy!
I grew up thinking Judy Jetson was the height of cool, so having this figure of her holds a special meaning for me. The fact that it was sent with respect and with care is a bonus and is greatly appreciated.
