Fully featured and easy to use

You can speak to this GPS and tell it what address or point of interest you are looking for. Voice recognition is pretty accurate (~ 80% or better). It shows a photo of the signs you will see at each exit, runs off automatically, and has a host of apps you can add such as weather along your route, traffic photos in areas that support it, and suggested alternatives when traffic is present. GPS acquisition is fast and the device is quite reliable. About the only item that was not intuitive to me is when you investigate an option (traffic, weather, etc.) you simply press the view map button to continue your previous navigation. This was not clear to me when first using it. Now that I know about it, it seems logical. I would definitely recommend this product to others as one of the best stand alone GPS devices I have ever used. Many prefer to use their phone, but I prefer a dedicated unit in the car to running my phone battery down.

Introduces airplay 2

After the update, the airport express is now airplay 2. This means you can stream from iOS (iPad, iPhone) to multiple destinations. So now I can send music to multiple locations in my house. I also found you can stream to other destinations from HomePod. So without using an iOS device, HomePod can send your music all over the house (requires airplay 2)

Awesome sound

Really full, rich sound. This device is even more awesome in stereo. Siri works well for selecting songs and turning on/off homekit devices. Sometimes there are issues understanding what is requested, but most cases are straightforward and work correctly. You don’t buy the HomePod to be amazed by smart technology, but you will likely be amazed by the sound! And you can pair two devices for excellent stereo sound.
