Simply Hilarious
1 of 1 found this helpful Mr.Bean is just good old-fashioned comedy. It's nice to have something funny to watch without inappropiate language and the like. For some old-school laughs, the Mr.Bean collection is perfect.

One Powerful Little Box
9 of 9 found this helpful I bought the firebox mainly because it's a firewire interface. In the past, I've had latency problems with USB interfaces or there was just always something NOT WORKING with the usb interfaces I was working with, so, I thought I would try a firewire interface out. I didn't need a crazy-awesome interface to record with, just something simple, fast, and compatible: Exactly what the firebox is.
I like the firebox's ease of use. Everything is pretty straight forward just plug-in and go for it. What I was really impressed with was that there was hardly any latency issues. What you play on your guitar/bass/instrument or sing is what you hear, so you can actually record with say a sequenced drum track and not have to go back after the fact and make sure everything syncs up. It does what it's supposed to and it does it quite well I think.
I honestly don't have that many dislikes for the firebox, at least not at this moment. Maybe it could be a more attractive interface but I'm more worried with recording properties.
Another thing, the price. One shouldn't have to spend over $500 just to be able to record a song idea in decent quality. The firebox works great for this. I have an idea, I sit down, maybe lay out a drum track, record the idea and then I can share my idea with musicians across the world. If I really want to make full, sweet sounding song, then that's totally possible with proportionate time and attention (and of course, the firebox).
Let it be known that this is one amateur recording artist opinion. My experience with recording music is in no way "professional" but I'd like to believe I know when music sounds good and for the output the firebox brings given it's price, it's just great and I really enjoy having it. It lets me enjoy my love for making music that much more and then some. If you're on a budget and need a quick portable interface that puts out nicely, the firebox may be what you need. If you're wanting a pro recording interface with all the bells and whistles, you might want to look on up the audio interface-ladder.
Other things to note:
I've used the firebox on 3 different OS's without any trouble: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit, Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit and Windows XP Pro 32-bit. From what I've read, it works on several other OS's also.
