Another great "Doc Ford" adventure
Randy Wayne White is a superb adventure writer. And, "Captiva" is yet another one of his great "Doc Ford" stories. Good old Doc, who lives the confusing life of a former spy, current naturalist, and all around good old boy is a very lovable character. As usual, the Doc's story evolves around life Florida's beautiful Sanibel-Capitiva Island area on the Gulf Coast.
If you've ever been to this area, and /or if you like adventure books, "Captiva" and White's other Doc Ford novels are a great read.

Coils really work
After tiring of lathering on repellent for years, starting using these coils a few years ago. They really work. The only issue is that you need to be mindful of prevailing wind and may need to use up to 4 at once to cover your perimeter.

A Classic, in spite of it's top shelf actors
All too often movies that are loaded with a star-studded cast are watched to see those super stars. But, A Few Good Men is a great story that involves a morally-complicated plot involving the military chain of command. Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, and Jack Nicholson all do a great job in their roles.
Jack's angry retort of "You can't handle the truth!" should be up there with with the great one-liners from Gone With The Wind and other classics.
