As the trackball had to be upgraded from stst balls to (in my case aluoxide) the result was that the spinning sort of dissapeared. So flipping the ball did not result in spinning. This elecom does the same - it hardly spins. To compensate, it has a setting switch for this - which for me now is still on low.
Bought the wired and wireless version, both work nice and predictable.
Again, as good as the trackball was for ergonomics, this one equals - might be a little better due to the gel pad alike support pad.
It is very large. Downside? That is up to you.
