Have a phone that has a microUSB port? Buy this for rental cars.
Even if you've got a really nice mount for your phone in your car already, buy one of these to bring with you whenever you might be using a rental car, It grips between bottom (micro USB port) and top (easily adjustable for different size devices. It's light, folds up pretty small, and for the current $5, you won't be super sad if you forget to take it out of that rental car.

Nice: not just for a/s plates
I confess, I bought one of these through amazon because, not having RRS plates, I wanted to be able to easily return it. It's worked fine with my Leofoto L-plates and the Benro clamp that came with my current ballhead.
There is only one lever position in which the clamp is wide enough, but it closes and clamps just fine. That one position is most of the way 'round but not all. I see it as something of a safety feature: it's possible to catch the lever with mittens (hey, it's cold) but you're unlikely to get to that exact spot without a deliberate action.
Tired of sealing with knobs through your gloves? You want one of these.

Perfect for the 85mm f/1.8
Perfect fit for the 85mm 1.8. If you are using an ND filter to take portraits in brighter light, you probably also need a hood. IMO this hood should have come with the lens. Given that 85 is in the 'short tele' range, the hood is narrow enough that, flipped reversed over the lens, is still fits in a lens slot in my bag.
