Good price but doesn't fit
Item does not fit the 1st generation Kindle Fire 7" HD. Item slightly misshapened. Would be a bargain for the right generation Kindle Fire.

Satisfactory But....
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this product because the "Roo Case" origami fold cover is no longer available for my 1st generation Kindle Fire. I prefer a case that stands upright because I use my Ereader for books only, nothing else. This item opens in both the vertical and horizontal positions, but it obviously is designed for the horizontal, with the option of the vertical position basically an afterthought. It requires inconvenient manipulation to swivel the stand to the vertical position. Another drawback is the fact that the charging port opening is on the wrong side of the case, requiring that the Kindle be left open for charging. This case is also bulkier and slightly heavier than my preferred case, the "Roo" case. Because of the thickness of the case when it's closed, there is sometimes a gap where the cover is slightly open. allowing the tablet inside to remain on because the magnet isn't making good contact. This problem is solved, however, as there is an elastic strap that is easily deployed and unobtrusive when not in use. Overall, this case is functional, well-made, affordable, and does perform it's function although somewhat more cumbersome. I recommend it, especially as it becomes more difficult to find accessories for the 1st generation Kindle HD 7".
