Classic Fiddler
There were many productio choices on eBay. This is the 1971 MGM movie with which we were familiar. It arrived in 3 days and had no flaws on the disc. I suppose there are a million copies out there (we had the VHS but our player wouldn't work!). I saw it in NY 50 years ago, but the nuance of the faces up close is a dimension that is lost to the theater goer. $5.00: what's not to like.

Cultural myths of child rearing.
1 of 1 found this helpful An insightful look at the developmental sacred cows that infuse the academic community in their explanations of the outcomes of various child rearing strategies always with an underlying bias that Ms. Harris reveals -- is unprovable. Written in a subtle irreverent style, this book is as close to a "you can't put it down" volume as one is ever likely to get in a throughly documented piece that is a total departure from the myriad parenting books. For those of us who read and followed so many of these latter, and didn't get the promised outcomes, it is a breath of fresh air.
