Great assortment of stories

Another winning book from Christopher Howse
Christopher Howse is a master of the English language and this book is a must for both hispanophiles and followers of his writings. Lovely word pictures of his journeys through Iberia with delicious " tones " of people, places ,history, religion and vistas. A book to keep dipping into again and again.

Excellent book and must be the standard go-to work for the area covered,
Although this revised edition is nearly twenty five years old the book is still so interesting and factually correct and is a must for anyone visiting Edinburgh and the Borders. In my opinion it is still the " bible"
for the region.
