Manufacturing / assembly fault prevented electrical contact.

Manufacturing or assembly fault: The square button on the step did not protrude far enough through the plastic case to make contact with my device to complete the power circuit on my charger and power device. This was fixed / adjusted by inserting a small square of folded aluminium foil on the square button to ensure contact was made. After that my device charged and worked perfectly as the battery provided adequate power.
