Great Features And Sound Quality
Consumer Reports gives this phone a very high rating and I'm glad I paid attention to their recommendation and purchased this ATT 2 Handset Phone System. The adjustable Sound/Volume is great on the handset. The Speaker Phone Feature is great. It's a very simple portabe phone with lots of nice features thar are easy to figure out without even using the instruction guide. Decent sized digital display and nice size buttons. The handset can stand upright on a flat surface for hands free use with the Speaker Phone option.

Good Regular Phone, But Speaker Quality Is Not Good
1 of 1 found this helpful I'm an owner of the original Southwestern Bell Freedom Phone, Model FM858, which was purchased from the Pioneer Shop at SWB Headquarters in Saint Louis, Missouri. That phone came with an electric speaker amplifier jack that I personally never used because the quailty of the speaker phone feature was so great and still is, even after being dropped countless times. This slightly modified model FM858 does not include the electrick speaker amplifier jack. Worse and most sad if the fact that the quaility of the speaker phone feature is really not good at all; to the point where the feature will be unusable. Otherwise the phone quality itself from the regular handset/receiver is very good so the phone will be a great landline phone, but only if used with the regular handset/receiver.
