It is good, but...

I own the Schrade SS105 (larger version) of the knife.
3 of 3 found this helpful This is an old standby that has been around since the late 19th century. I owned the Sabre (Japanese) Melon Tester in this size back in 1968. (I was 13 years old at the time). These newer knives are made with rust-resistant 3Cr13Mov Stainless Steel spear point blades. I can attest to the fact that they take, and hold, a decent edge. I like these knives because as a lad I routinely lent my mother one the size of the SS102 to spread mayonnaise and cut sandwiches on long family road trips. (Those were the days).
These knives also make great pocket knives that can slip into a shirt or back pocket. (Make certain that you don't sit directly upon the knife and break the composite handle or bend the brass liners or blade). If you use these knives for their intended purpose, make certain that you wash the blade and joints carefully and lube the joint with either frog lube or a lubricant suitable for food preparation.
Buy this knife and treat it well. It should last a long time.

This is an "Old School" style dagger from the late 19th century.
I like this hefty knife that's a holdover from the days of riverboat gamblers. This steel is better than the 440A that comes from Rough Rider because of the added Molybdenum and Vanadium. It can be pressed into service as a camp knife if needed. The steel resists corrosion and holds a decent edge.
Buy it and have fun using it.
