A lens you can leave it all the time on the camera
Excellent lens for videography and I have not seen any internal zoom lens for Sony e-mount APS-C lens line. You can zoom this lens in and out to varying speed with out any jitters. Excellent as a walk around lens and street videography even though it is not a small lens like a prime. The sharpness is not noticeable unless you pixel peep and compare it to a prime. Unless you are a professional photographer and need a higher zoom this can remain on your camera all the time.

It is a positive way to hold the camera by itself or in a rig combination.
