U2 At there best live in concert
For anyone who has not had the pleasure of seeing U2 live then you are missing a treat. I do like U2 but am not what you would call a major fan but when you see them on stage you realise what a fantastic band they are.Bono is probably the ultimate frontman to a rock group and you can see he has so much fun on stage and the crowd love him.I have to admit that when i bought this dvd i was looking for the 2 disc version that has loads of extras on the second discbut soon realised i had bidded on the wrong version the 1 disc version. But it was mainly the show that i wanted to see again so it was not a major letdown. This is from the zoo tv tour in australia from i think around 92 or 93. This was a phenomenal tour not just for them but for the world of music. They pushed the boundaries with this show and went on to push them even further about 5 years later with the pop mart tour before kind of going back to there roots a little for the last two shows and letting bono and the band do there talking with there music and not with tv's and special effects. this show was available for vhs for many years before getting released on dvd.I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who even faintly likes U2. Fingers crossed they may now release there popmart show from mexico as that now seems to be the only one one that is not yet officially released on dvd even though the show is available in music for through itunes if you buy all of u2 catalogue. Clarence is pure Ronnie Barker Genius
Having watched the tv series when it aired in the late 1980's i remembered it vividly and being a fan of most of Ronnie barkers other work i saw this and just couldn't resist it.It did not disapoint at all. Some of the jokes may be a little bit corny or even politically incorrect in this day and age but it still made me laugh. If you have never seen this then i do recommend it its osmething the whole family can sit down and enjoy.Clarence is like a mr Magoo character who has very bad eyesight and most of the jokes stem from things he gets upto with an odd punchline thrown in to the mix. Very funny and onnie wrote this himself under the name of Bob Ferris (he claims he never realised that this was also the name of a character in the likely lads)
