A reliable and effective starter phone with long lifespan
My existing Nokia 1600 is 14 years old and ideal for those of us who only wish to send and receive texts and phone calls without any add-on functions. It is much easier to use than most modern basic mobile phones which I find over-complicated. The Nokia's battery typically lasts between 2 weeks when moderately used and three weeks if left mainly on standby. Only now is it starting to show slow deterioration after 14 years of continual use.
There is a rich menu of ringtones and as well as a silent running option and the phone also contains some basic games, but these tend to drain the battery quickly.
Overall, a very good starter phone that I can highly recommend.

Good value and feels solidly made
This style of basic switch is very difficult to find nowadays. Despite the competitive price, it feels more robust than its ten year old predecessor that was installed by the developer.
As such, I am happy to recommend it and would buy another when required to do so.
