Yamaha CD-S1000 Compact Disc Player

Elegant performer

This player sounds great with CD (connected analog and coax) and amazing with SACD. The internal DAC outperforms my preamp's built in DAC. The Yamaha CD-S1000 has the build of an Abrams tank with the finesse of a Bentley. Playing thru a Parasound A23+ and P6 combination with Martin Logan ESLs. SACD is superior to streaming thru Quobuz and CD seems to match it. My only complaint is it's size. It dwarfs my amplifier and hangs off both the front and back of my audio rack. It's 33 lbs. too but that's okay.
