Excellent modern model kit from that Iconic company Airfix.
well thought out model kit, precise fit of parts, the lowered undercarriage has to be fitted prior to the fuselage being joined up, Makes into a stunning little replica of the WW2 fighter the F4F WILDCAT.

Early type Landrover model kit
There could never be enough Landrover Model kit options out there, and Airfix has just added another one to the list, very handy for Landrover fans, model landrover collectors and model kit makers, not built this one yet, as I have quite a few on the build list, this is a recent tooling and as such is very well moulded and detailed, it should fit together well going by Airfix latest additions to the catalogue. This model kit is in 1/43rd scale, so it's the same scale as all the Corgi Landrovers over the years (see last picture showing a Corgi Landrover,) it's also scaleextric scale. It is not the usual Airfix car range of kits in 1/32 so beware. Happy building everyone. It is there for your recreational enjoyment so crack on.

Nice model kit of the Morris Quad used by the Royal Artillery in WW2
Haven't made this kit yet, it's in the stash awaiting the conclusion of two current builds. On inspection it's a large deep box chock full of sprue frames, parts breakdown looks to be excellent, parts fit yet to be experienced, but Their products have a good reputation, I hear their Katy Ambulance is excellent.
So why this kit and not the more numerous and cheaper Tamiya Quad? well to my knowledge this is the only Morris Quad out there in 1/35th scale, Airfix and Dinky did one in small scale, but this has a different front end to the Canadian Fords, a longer different shaped nose. This is the Mk 2 with larger crew doors that allow rapid egress should has happened to a relation of mine, the Quad get hit and the large fuel tanks explode
The Quad kit here comes without the gun it towed. The 25 pounder field gun and ammo limber, There are loads out there by Tamiya and DML. I'm building this in train with the latter and placing the whole assembly in a glass case as a momento to those that fought for our way of life and our freedom.
