Classic hits from a classic rock guitarist
I had most of these songs on vinyl (yes, I still have records! I also remember when phones had cords...the horror!) and have been looking for them on CD for years. But given the uneven nature of most MSG albums (some great stuff, some so-so), I didn't want the expense of purchasing all the CDS. This one has just about every great song from their history (with a few exceptions, hopefully to be found soon on i-Tunes), with decent production. A special bonus is a printed insert detailing the band's history. (Wish it were longer, tho.) Two different vocalists along with Michael Schenker's usual melodic shreddding. Try it!

A Dictionary of Angels: Including the Fallen Angel
08 September 2017
Most comprehensive source I've seen
There are so many angels (and demons) listed, it can be overwhelming. Each name is given background and description according to various sources, which can vary widely (one text may list the name as an angel, another as a demon) so it's a great resource for both the curious and the creative. Not heavily illustrated (just due to sheer size and quantity of names) but there are some good ones, along with some useful appendices and charts at the end. All names are in alphabetical order and many are cross-referenced. I'm using it as I write a fantasy novel and I recommend it as a source for other writers as well.
Fitbit Charge 2 Heart Rate & Activity Tracker - Large
14 August 2017
Minor drawbacks but still better (for me) than the Charge HR or Garmin
This replaces a Charge HR that went into the pool with me--just a minute was all it took to die. I tried a Garmin but the measurement of floors walked was bizarre (would take minutes or hours to catch up, if it did) and it would only sync with a phone (I have to use a laptop and/or desktop computer). This Charge 2 so far (a few weeks) has been great with a few minor issues. Still not waterproof like the Garmin or the Fitbit Flex (which is useless to me because it doesn't have a display), it at least seems to better tolerate a few splashes and my sweat--but the rubber wrist band makes my wrist sweat up a storm, even without a workout, and I developed a heat rash after just a week, which I hadn't after six months with the Charge HR. This band must be wiped down (if not rinsed off too) after each workout. (Thankfully there are both nylon and metal bands available from third parties on Amazon and eBay.) The heart rate monitor seems just as accurate as the HR, and the floors seem better counted. The additional features like different workouts, "relax" sessions and such are an improvement. Still haven't figured out what some of the additional measurements are yet, but I like that it offers (optional) reminders to get up and move. Other negatives are that while I got it to sync with my iMac after quite a bit of wrangling (and contacting customer service, who basically told me that "syncing" is different than "setup" and I needed to do the latter if replacing another model) but still no luck with my HP laptop (I can still only choose one or the other, but I tried the HP first with no luck; will try again with customer service). Minor negative--I use stairs for my regular workout and this does not include numbers of floors climbed for the workout, whereas the HR did. So I just have to note the floors before and after the workout and do the math--no biggie, but a minor hassle. My Charge HR started warping around the connection of the band and unit after just a few months; hopefully this one is better designed.
