An excellent project overall.
A nice kit with good detail which should build into a good representation of the aircraft. The build will be entertaining and researching to add more detail educational. An excellent project overall.

Airfix Lancaster with Grand Slam Bomb
I haven't completed the kit yet but the mouldings look good and the parts flash free The instructions are clear and overall it seems to be a reasonable representation of this specially produced bomber. Nothing more to say about it, it's an Airfix model aircraft.

Spreadsheet lovers heaven.
I bought this book as my father served with 57 Squadron as ground crew during the war and I wanted to read the history of the men he worked with. If you like statistics and spreadsheets full of numbers then this book is absolute heaven for you but for an account of the people involved forget it. Two pages (of 166) give a brief history (you can get more on Wikipedia), the rest are just table after table of data. If you want a book to read then go elsewhere as this will send you to sleep after one page.
The author has obviously amassed a huge amount of data regarding the losses of aircraft and men etc. but I feel sure that these could have been put into a readable form rather than spreadsheet printouts followed by pie charts.
In my humble opinion a complete waste of time and money, unless you are researching a particular aircraft or person from the Squadron and where his remains lie.
A nerds bible.
