Item shipped quickly, but it seems that someone at the post office opened the box in transit, sliced open the item's packaging, and then broke the item. Nonetheless, the seller worked quickly to get it sorted out and issued a refund. Great customer service on the part of the seller. If only I could say the same for the USPS.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster 32 ISA Sound Card (CT3600)
28 January 2018
One of the best sound cards for the 1990s!
This sound card is the "value" version of the Sound Blaster AWE32. I remember going to this card from a Mediavision PAS16 and was stunned. Advanced wave synthesis rather than OPL-3 FM synthesized music let this card sing all the .midi files I threw at it! Games sounded amazing with crystal clear 16-bit sounds and beautiful music! This card is basically a Sound Blaster 16 with advanced wave table synthesis so it will play OPL-3 FM synthesis just fine and is even backwards compatible with ADLIB. It was also compatible with the General MIDI standard and some other formats which lets the music sound a little different. By far, this is my favourite sound card!

Dell PowerEdge 2600 (pe2600/220) Server
12 January 2018
Great small business or storage server!
This thing is built like a tank. The hard drives are easy to swap and have excellent RAID configurations available. The fans are a little loud but keep this server running cool. Managing the server is easy either remotely or directly. Upgrades are available very cheap on Ebay or Amazon. I upgraded my single proc server with a second processor and processor controller, ram and even quieter fans. This is a 32-bit system and ran my Windows Home Server 2009 and the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise without any issues. Data access if fast through the 10,000 rpm drives, thus I have no complaints. As long as you can run an older 32 bit O/S, this makes a great data server.

ASUS Xonar D2/PM - sound card XONAR D2/PM (It sounds so amazingly clear)
19 December 2017
Excellent product, wish manufacturers still made sound cards as such!
Installed in a modern server/media center that runs Home Server 2011. I had to use Windows 7 x64 drivers as Vista x64 drivers would not work. After the installation the card was hooked via SPDIF to a Logitech 5.1 surround system and DTS decoding and PCM out audio was selected. This card will eventually be hooked up to a theater grade sound system into a 7.1 surround setup, and I have no doubts will outperform itself. This card is a true testament to days when sound cards were made with quality components and superb drivers. Today Creative Labs and Asus are both lacking in either field and there are no competitors besides those developing cheap crappy onboard sound solutions. For anyone who values quality and theater surround sound, this is the product. The only comparable solutions are the Sound Blaster X-FI series from around 2008-2010 and other more expensive professional solutions.
