Face of Louisiana
Great copy of a favorite Louisiana book by Charles East with photography by Elemore
Morgan, well known deceased photographer from the Baton Rouge area. Fabulous photos
from all parts of Louisiana with lots of Louisiana faces and places.

American Masters of the Mississippi Gulf Coast
The book, American Masters of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, is a wonderful tribute
to four artists from the area: Walter Anderson, George Ohr, Dusti Bonge, and
Richmond Barthe. Patti Carr Black, the author, gives a brief overview of the
Gulf Coast area - its nature, culture, and history.
She then provides a very good background on each of the four artists along with
art examples from each. All in all, this is a great resource for anyone who is
interested in the art of any or all of the four artists from this area. I would
certainly recommend the purchase of this book.
The Mississippi Arts Commission, the Department of Art at Mississippi State
University, and the Starkville Area Arts Council are to be commended for a
great effort and worthwhile undertaking to benefit the area and to provide all
who are interested in a charming, informative reference book.

NEW ORLEANS ELEGANCE AND DECADANCE
This is one of our favorite books about New Orleans homes and decor. It is
very tasteful and beautifully illustrated. It pictures typical houses as well
as over-the-top houses. It shows many areas of New Orleans and is a wonderful
resource for the visitor, whether coming to New Orleans or having already visited the area.
The book also features views of business districts, the Super Dome, museums,
and other interesting buildings and locations in the area. We would strongly
recommend its purchase for anyone planning to visit the area. We try to always
have a copy available for sale in our antique shop.
