This kit is amazing. I used to demand gas-powered trimmers and blowers, and simply scoffed at the infomercials. Then I tried my uncle-in-law's Ni-Cad version of the Work trimmer (a few years back, and yes I commented to my wife that her uncle had been "taken" by the late night infomercials...). But after I tried it, I was pleasantly surprised. So I checked prices on eBay, found the Worx eBay store, and took a chance on a refurb model (20v trimmer / blower combo).
This is one of the best purchases I've ever made for light yardwork. I'm a 51 year old male, always loved Stihl and Echo, etc. But I was looking for something for a vacation home that didn't need to be winterized, etc. After I used it for a year, I liked it so much I bought one for our our main home, another set for my father-in-law, and regularly show it off to the neighbors. True, my version is a single-line head, but it does EVERYTHING I need it to do. My entire family can use it...just pop the battery on and there's plenty of power to do our 10,000 square foot lot. The blower is GREAT for quick clean-ups, like dog hair on the patio, light fall leaves, etc. Is it as powerful as a 32cc gas blower? No, of course not. But it does what it does VERY well, and it's all we need. Incredibly light weight, no cord, etc. For major leaf blowing in the fall, yes, we'll pull out the gas blower. But we're very, very pleased with this combo kit. And regarding the "refurb" label...yes, mine came in a generic brown box, but I could not find a scratch on it. ANY of the sets I've ordered....
Regarding some of the negative reviews on battery life, and in the interest of full disclosure, one of my batteries did go dead. But the Worx customer support was SUPER. They shipped one out well before they would have received my defective one, and in fact the Worx customer rep said "keep the old one...no problem." I definitely recommend this trimmer and blower combo.

The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band
01 August 2019
Can't put it down (well-written, intriguing), but it's a hard read content-wise....
I'm an old guy who grew up listening to Motley Crue music. So when I saw the Netflix Original movie "The Dirt" I really wanted to read the book. Maybe it's my age...but I found the book so far (I'm a third of the way through) to be an extremely hard read content-wise. Well written, intriguing, insightful, but a gut-wrenching, hard, sometimes nauseating read.
I'd read Hammer of the Gods (Led Zeppelin), but that in no way prepared me what was inside The Dirt. After watching the movie, I found myself connecting more with Mick Mars (the "old guy" in the band, albeit only by three-four years, maybe?). And I sympathized with Nikki Sixx for what he went through as a child and adolescent. But how those experiences shaped Nikki into the person he became was hard to read. At the end of the movie I felt redemption for the band, and maybe the book will provide that "relief" as well. But wow...the journey to get there...it's been a tough read so far. Granted, I can't put it down, so there's that....
