Great value for the money
I am very pleased with this headphone amplifier. Sound quality is good, and it allows the selection of a master mix, an individual (auxiliary) mix, or a blend of the two via the balance control on each of the four channels. The only downside is the the individual auxiliary inputs are unbalanced stereo 1/4 inch jacks, so if you have balanced 1/4 inch aux outputs from your mixer you will need to make up a special cable with a mono (1/4 inch TR) plug on the mixer end, and a stereo (1/4 inch TRS) plug on the headset amp end with the tip and ring connected together. Or, if you want to run stereo into the aux input, you will need a y cable with a stereo (1/4 inch TRS) plug on the headset amp end that splits out to two mono (1/4 inch TR) plugs going to two aux outputs on your mixer. This type of cable is just like an effects "insert" cable available at any retail or online music store. The main or master input to the headset amplifier IS balanced left and right, so so you can use either 1/4 inch TRS cables from the control room output of your mixer, or XLR cables from your mixer's main outputs. Either way, this headset amplifier offers plenty of flexibility at half the price of comparable units from other manufacturers. If you need more than 4 individual headset mixes, you can add another unit and daisy-chain them together via the pass-through XLR connectors.
