Don't pay too much for a 9.7" Pendo Pad!
There I was hoping to get an ipad for around $100, well you get what you pay for! but it was not all bad.
The Good:
Looks and feels OK. Works well as a photo viewer to show the family snaps, Loaded a few games which play quite well for the grandchildren.Quite good sound through headphones.
The not so good bits,
Slow wi fi connection especially at home where the laptop and old Pendo Pad 7" work OK, it just hangs and times out sometimes for no apparent reason, seems a little better on other connections but never great. It is not recognised as a device with Google Play (App site) so will not download many of the more common apps. (The included Getjar download site is next to useless with few user friendly apps available).
Will not connect to a wireless dongle no matter how many parameter combinations I try. The user facing camera and the on charge light do not appear to work at all.
Overall
OK for a bit of a challenge and limited internet use but would be well worth the money if faster internet would work. Worth around what I paid for it but definately not an ipad!
