Churchill And Orwell, Ricks, Thomas E., 9780715652374

A timely book for understanding the present day threat to our freedom
I have often believed Churchill and Orwell shared much in common in believing the rights of man must be preserved against PC and the politics of the liberal left. The path to individual liberty began in our country with Magna Carta and it has been slowly evolving every since. Until recent years when we have been subjected to the new politik of liberalism and its handmaiden, PC. Orwell spoke against nascent PC and the dangers inherent in twisting the meaning of language in the 1930's and Churchill never bowed to it. This book is essential reading to get why an old school socialist like Orwell stood for the same things as Churchill or, indeed, Nigel Farage, in the present day. Liberal (capital "L") Democracy and the freedoms it stands for is under direct threat and this book will hopefully become mandatory reading in every school across the country. But don't hold your breath as the liberal left will not like it one bit!

Great packing paper
Nothing wrong with this product, does the job. Some sheets (very few) a little short of uniform but overall very good.

Good value
Seem to fit UK plus without too much strain. Haven't used them in Europe yet but am confident they will do their duty without flinching.
