Can not provide sound

Ran it from ps4 slim, then ran new hdmi cable to tv for picture from port 1 and then ran new hdmi cable to sound bar from port 2, when I plugged into my sound bar it killed the video side. Makes no sense seeing how hdmi supports video and sound. All in All it’s a good concept but did not work for my needs, if they can figure out the problem then it would be a Golden life saver.
