Bookends
Had this album as a vinyl lp back in college. Side 1 maybe my favorite set of songs ever. The concept of stringing a group of related songs wasn't new, but rarely was it so effective...

Buffalo Bill wasn't what you think!
William F. Cody wasn't exactly the hero he said he was. As author Fraser notes, Buffalo Bill did alot,but just not quite the way his legend leads us to believe. For example, there is no evidence to support that he ever rode for the shortlived pony express or that he "scalped Yellow Hair for Custer." But dissecting the myths still creates a great read.

Engaging
This is a terrific retelling of the origin of Excalibur,
The movie boasts an excellent cast led by Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley (in a unique, yet believable spin on Merlin.
There are great, but not excessive, battle sequences through out, but the characters are well drawn and developed.
I purchased the DVD after reading the novel it is based on.
It is a rare blend of Roman, British (Celtic), and Druid myths
and history that is extremely entertaining.
