Lightweight and cost effective
0 of 1 found this helpful It's a good compromise between size and performance. You can get into a higher amp battery but then you a sacrificing weight for a few extra minutes of run time. The cost for the OEM battery jumps dramatically between the 3 and 4 amp batteries.The whole purpose of the new drills/drivers is to be lighter so there are less fatiguing to use
