It works properly.
I bought cheap exercise watches, and had to get them refunded with a week because they didn't work properly, this Fitbit works properly and has a good app as well.
the band has plenty of holes for appropriate sizing, the face has a few options, but I am happy with the default option, it calculates steps accurately, as well as other workout activities.
It tells me if there is a call or SMS and notifies me when I have reached a daily goal.
