Thin and Light
2 of 2 found this helpful This 2.5" HD is thin, it may be as compact and as thin as physically possible for a non-SSD drive. It was easily fitted into my old laptop to replace the old 500GB internal HD which is at the end of its useful life. So far I found no problem and pretty happy with it :-)

Light and Relatively Compact for the Job
Pros: It saves lot of time if you need to squash dough thinly. If you need the final thinner product then just put extra layers of thin plastic sheets in between the dough. Cleaning is not a problem since thin food grade sheets are used to separate the food and the aluminium (Al) plates.
Cons : The pressure at the contact region between the lever and the top plate is large and scouring can be seen to produce debris of Al (which is a soft metal) & wearing marks. This problem can be alleviated by putting two small layers of freezer paper (~polypropylene) to reduce friction - any thin layers of slippery material may do the same job (eg "Teflon" sheets - hard to come by) - not a neat looking solution but working ok.
