This set does NOT have glass marbles.
I thought I was buying a set that would have glass marbles so I'm disappointed. They are made of very lightweight plastic. The plastic ones are so light that they roll all over if you bump the game at all - makes it annoying to play with young ones especially. It did arrive expediently and is in perfect condition otherwise.

NOT as expected - very cheap imitation of original checkers sets.
1 of 1 found this helpful Just be aware this is NOT like a regular checker board. The board is like cereal box board very thin box board - NOT the game board type board of regular checkers. And the checkers are thin also - about half the thickness of regular checkers. The game did arrive in a timely manner and it did arrive new and in good shape (in a bag), but I was expecting a regular checkers game like the ones we had as a kid. Even the game BOX is a cheap imitation - not like regular game board boxes. Granted it is a cheap price by today's standards, but they should be advising the difference in the pieces to original checkers.
