Leupold 1 Vx-Freedom 350 Legend 3-9x40 1 Inch Duplex 177910

Works as Advertised!

I had a Leupold 2-7X33 mounted on my AR platform 350 Legend, but I wanted something with a little more magnification that could be easily dialed for longer shots. Mounting and sighting in the scope was easy and the adjustment clicks are clear and precise. On the opening day of Ohio gun season a buck came running through and stopped in a field. I ranged him at 157 yards, I dialed the scope 1 click past 150 yards, and put lead to leather. From the deer stopping to shooting took less than 5 seconds and I felt confident that I was on target. Seconds matter in a hunting situation and having the elevation dial already configured for the 350 Legend saved time and made a difference. After zeroing the scope, make sure the screws on the elevation dial are properly tightened. I was worried about over-tightening since they are so small and it came loose while confirming my zero at the range.

Budget scope -- Leupold Quality

I live in Ohio and I originally bought the scope to put on an AR-15 style rifle in .450 Bushmaster to use for deer hunting and a Texas hog hunting trip that I had planned. I've always been a big fan of Leupold's VX-1 and VX-2 line of scopes and I was worried that their new budget Freedom scopes would be of lesser quality. I'm happy to report that this scope lives up to the Leupold pedigree! The glass on this scope is super clear and I can see a target at 100 yards with this scope easier than some mid-tier 3-9 and 4-12 scopes. Some 2-7 scopes have adjustments set at 1/2 MOA, so the 1/4 MOA per-click turrets are big plus. I haven't shot it a ton, but it has held up to the recoil and has maintained zero beautifully.

Strong enough for full power rifle calibers

Used these rings on a scope for my K31 that has an offset dovetail mount. I use primarily Leupold rings on my rifles, but the ones I had my K31 would come loose after about 5 shots. I didn't think that any dovetail rings could handle the recoil of the 7.5x55 Swiss cartridge and before I spent a couple hundred dollars on a different mount, I thought I would try these rings. I'm happy to report that after mounting a scope and taking it to the range the rings have remained rock solid after 25-30 shots and I'm confident that they aren't going anywhere. The build quality is outstanding and while using these rings on a .22 rifle would probably be overkill, they are exactly what I needed on my rifle. Great product.
