My Number One Assist for my Self-healing Fasting Journey
I've been doing medical dryfasting - dryfasting (no food or water 24/7 for two weeks at a time) - for several years now in order to restore function to a thyroid that was removed in '71, and have been on raw glandulars for decades.
The first thing the body addresses during no-digestion autophagic phase is the bowels, the adrenal glands, and the kidneys. I realized during much dryfasting that the body continually worked long and hard to clear the bowels of acidic cellular wastes and took pity and decided to research how best to assist it. I first started by taking strong herbal formulas to de-tox the bowels. This is a 65 year old body with decades of accumulated mucus and cellular debris.
Then I did more research into oxygenation and discovered ozonated magnesium products and tried out a few, including Oxy-powder. Oxy-powder is now my number one prep before I initiate autophagy (stopping eating and drinking), and when I break the long dryfast - to quickly flush out the remaining standing acids in the bowels.... less suffering as a result. Dryfasting the way I do it has vanished all my cravings for processed foods and meats and salts and sulfurous vegetables and sugary sweets and processed starches (pastas, white rice, breads with additives, etc.). I am more ready now to transition to a natural diet high in simple sugars (fructose/glucose) fruits, which a cleaner body now can more easily process without unpleasant consequences.
All that said (whew!) Oxy-Powder is my number one assist for this long and sometimes tedious and arduous self-healing and regenerative journey. Even when I am not in a long dryfast session I drop down to an IF/OMAD or a 44:4 and I end the feasting window with Oxy-Powder and water with a squeeze of a lemon. My bowels love being oxygenated with Oxy-Powder.
