An inside look at the incredible lengths that each railroad company went to vie for customer satisfaction with meals served onboard the great trains of an era past...truly a “Golden Age”. Dining By Rail is also an insight into the history of African American labor on the railroads. The recipes bring back the nostalgia and flavors of railroad Americana. I found this book surprisingly interesting.
