Saints Row (Xbox 360)

Could have been much better.
Saint's Row 1 is basically a copy of the Grand Theft Auto series. Ive heard later games become better even weird. This one doesnt have alot. You have to do side missions to earn 'respect" to unlock the storyline missions. There is very little character choice in missions and your character is basically mute. I am really disappointed that there isnt much for combat or upgrading. Combat, well this game really would do better with a lock on function, especially in the numerous car chases. Some of the higher tier side missions unlock powerful weapons or other bonuses, but it would be much better if you could get permanent upgrades more gradually and earlier.

MechAssault (Microsoft Xbox, 2002)

Short but exciting
I like action, scifi, and especially robot or mech games. Mechassault is a streamlined version of the Mechwarrior PCs games which are action versions of the Tactical Board Game Battletech. You cannot customize the playable mechs ingame but there are two versions of each one. Customization is one of the main draws of the board game.

Short but pretty fun
Its a fun but short game. There are only 2 ares that you switch back and forth between in the story. There is no Decepticon campaign or playable characters. The bosses are cool and far more powerful than your playable characters. There are 5 playable characters but Optimus, the starter is overall the most powerful. I really dont like how the rewards are randomized and are often junk, cluttering up your inventory. They should feel like upgrades.
