Best you will find under $300
This is my second Solo that I purchased. I have one in the bedroom and got this for my kitchen. Amazing high quality sound and decent bass without a sub. Love it !

Dependable, consistent
I've used SB800'S for the last 15 years for hundreds of weddings and portraits. I can 100% say that never once did it let me down. There have been several incarnations and newer models but this is still my go to flash. The one unit has well over 35,000 flashes and works like new. These units are as dependable as the sun coming up in the morning.

workhorse lens!
2 of 2 found this helpful This is my primary lens for about 75% of all of my photos. I use it mostly for weddings. You don't get second chances to shoot them, so you want a lens that covers a good range to adapt to situations in front of you. The 16-85 mm range gives you the flexibility to handle this fast paced environment without having to switch lenses or cameras. The lens will handle everything from wide landscapes to intimate portraits with a nice bokeh. The build quality is the best in this price range, and I've tried them all.
