Canon EOS Rebel Ti / 300V 35mm SLR Film Camera with 28-90 mm lens Kit
    13 September 2017
    Just what I wanted
I was delighted with this, and surprised at how light it was for a full frame SLR. I wanted something for full frame and could not afford digital. I have a Canon digital 650D (like the Rebel series), so the Canon EF lenses work on both, or my M42 screw mount manual lenses with adapter work on both. Most of the features are alike in operation. For important photos I can shoot APS-C in digital and full frame with film.

Terracotta Tagine: Orange by World Market
    28 December 2017
    Just what I wanted
This is a great price. I soaked it overnight, then have been using it on the gas stove top with a flame tamer (diffuser) on moderately low heat. On low heat it took an hour for a full tagine to get to bubbling, but on medium low it was quicker--think crock pot for your cooking. Just remember not to shock it with anything cold when it is hot, or anything hot when it is cold--heat it or cool it gradually. It is really hard to grip the top with anything, even silicone, when it is hot. I sort of tilt the top, then grasp from the underside to remove it, using pot holders. I am tempted to drill a hole in the top with a ceramic bit, and attach a heatproof knob made for drawer pulls--has anybody done that? I wonder why on earth they don't just presoak them at the factory so they won't get all those complaints? Even cast iron cookware these days comes pre-seasoned and ready to cook. There is no steam vent, but the design lets any bubble-up seep back in (assuming low heat). Once it is bubbling, very low heat keeps it going. A cast iron Dutch oven with a trivet in it would give about the same results, but Iron is much heavier and needs more care--and has a taste. This just washes as easily as a plate or bowl. Put a later of sliced onions on the bottom to prevent sticking or burning meat. Very little water is needed, but use some (and some oil) to make the sauce as it cooks. Never heat it empty and don't try frying in it.
