A must have
Its a masterpiece which unfortunately for them didnt fare well commercially.
The dynamics are breathtaking-from a whisper to a roar then back again.
Guests include Danny Thompson and Nigel Kennedy-there is an oboe, clarinet and bassoon
And Henry Lowther's very cool almost Miles-like trumpet sometimes in centre stage along with Mark Feltham's gutterish harmonica
One track features a boy choir which has a chilling effect.
I believe this and their next(last )album influenced Radiohead no less
You can hear everything-rumbling leslie speakers with low pitched drums
A pinnacle of modern music which still sounds tremendous.

A must for every Lou Reed fan
Its his simplest(musically) and strongest particularly in the vocals and the delivery of
Fred's drumming and production superb
Only bought it again because my previous copy met a sticky end.
